Heelwork to Music / Freestyle
Pivot is where the dog pivots about its shoulder or hips whilst maintaining a straight back
Spins, Twists or Turns is where the dog rotates, spins or flips in a tight circle on the spot in either direction
Weaving a continuous movement through alternating trainer’s legs or around a prop
Backing is the continuous movement of the dog backwards either with the handler, or away or towards the trainer
Sidestepping is the dog moving sideways to the left or right where the feet on the same side of the dog move together.
Posing is where the dog maintains a stationary position such as a bow, beg, paw wave etc  
Paw work is where the dog uses its front feet individually or together
Heelwork is where the dog maintains a collected, rhythmic trot in the heel position
Trainers may use targets, target sticks or props.
 
Heelwork to Music Freestyle Level 1
The dog must demonstrate one from the following list and repeat three times:
 2 spins or turns
 holding a pose for 3 seconds
 heelwork for at least 4 strides of the trainer
 a simple movement with the prior approval of the Assessor
Heelwork to Music Freestyle Level 2
The dog must demonstrate 2 from the following list and repeat each three times:
 backing for at least 1-2m
 weaving for at least 4 strides of the trainer
 sidestepping for 2m
 heelwork for at least 8 strides of the trainer
 a movement with the prior approval of the Assessor
Heelwork to Music Freestyle Level 3
The dog must demonstrate 2 from the following list and repeat each three times:
weaving for 4 strides of the trainer walking forward and then 4 strides of the trainer walking backwards
3m of side stepping commencing or finishing with at least a 180 pivot
trotting with the trainer over at least 4m incorporating 2 spins and 2 turns, the dog may be in any position relative to the trainer
a heelwork pattern covering four sides of a square with the trainer facing the same direction, ie: forwards, sideways to the left, backwards, sideways to the right, each side of the square must be equal and at least 2m
a collection of 3-4 different freestyle or heelwork to music movements with the prior approval of the Assessor
Heelwork to Music Freestyle Level 4
The trainer and dog must demonstrate a least 6 elements from any of the lists for level 1-3 to music over 40-50 seconds.  
Heelwork to Music Freestyle Level 5
The trainer and dog must demonstrate a least 6 from any of lists for level 1-3, and 2 other movements to music over 60-90 seconds. The Assessor will be looking for choreography and musicality suitable for the dog and trainer partnership. Good use must be made of the test area.
Heelwork to Music Freestyle Level 6
The trainer and dog must demonstrate a combination of heelwork to music moves and freestyle in a piece of music over 2 minutes. The Assessor will be looking for choreography and musicality suitable for the dog and trainer partnership. Good use must be made of the test area.
